Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if everyone knew the full consequences of all their actions? It might actually be a much better place to live in. Imagine if certain philosphers and theologians understood where their beliefs would lead. This is especially powerful when you consider that their beliefs often influence other's beliefs and encourage others to follow the same path they followed. The results of Christ's beliefs are clear: billions of souls saved and the spread of God's grace throughout the entire world. Now, for a moment let us think about Charles Darwin. His beliefs about evolution (assuming that what he wrote is what he actually believed -- there is reason to doubt it!) have influenced many in the world today (despite the fact that almost all of them have been proven wrong more than once). The ramifications of the belief in evolution cannot be ignored. One consequence that I really doubt he ever saw was that the belief in evolution led to the widespread practice of murdering the unborn. One cannot deny that if we believe that mankind is an accident, and has no special purpose in the world, that will lead to a disrespect and careless attitude toward mankind. In fact, it might even lead to an outright hatred of mankind. If we have no soul, and are not accountable to an eternal creator, then there is nothing special about life. Yes, some may hold to evolution and try to maintain that life is special in some way, but that is contrary to what evolution teaches. If humans are just blobs of cells with no hope of eternal life, then it makes no difference whether you kill a person in the womb, on the street, or when they are nearing the end of their life; it is all the same because life is no more important than the existence of a rock; kick it if you want, it is just a thing. What a wonderful grace it is to know that God tells us otherwise. We can truly find hope in our lives, and especially the life of every child in the womb. We did not descend from an amoeba, or an ape, or anything else for that matter. We were created by God because He loves us. This is why we care about every life, and must seek to defend them from all attackers.
