Beware Yon Dragons

unprepared death

Aug. 28, 2025, midnight

I presume that by now you have heard of the homicidal maniac who murdered children while in Mass at a parish in Minneapolis. It appears that the attacker was one of those people who had lost touch with reality and believed that he was a woman. Of course, the courts in the state of Minnesota appear to have supported him in this insanity (so they should be held accountable, but you know that will not happen). According to the news, the guns he used were purchased legally. As I have said before, people who have lost touch with reality should not be allowed to purchase weapons or be allowed to operate heavy machinery. There is even a possibility that the attacker was influenced by demonic activity if not actually possessed by a demon. In an online post that he wrote before the attack he supposedly said, I'm not well. I'm not right. I am a sad person, haunted by these thoughts that do not go away. I know this is wrong, but I can't seem to stop myself. He also expressly stated a significant hatred for the Catholic faith. May God have mercy on his soul. We all know that the devil hates the Catholic Church, so of course we should expect him to attack it. We also know that he hates children so if he cannot kill them in the womb, he will try to do anything he can to kill them after they are born. Moral compromise, especially sexual immorality, will always lead to other moral compromises. Thus, when a person separates himself from a foundation of morality and heads down the road of selfish pleasure, he opens himself up to the influences of evil in all its forms. We also need to consider that, although they were in the Mass, we do not know how many of them were properly prepared for that experience. There is an old prayer that asks God to protect us from an unprepared death; which means dying without having been to Confession, without a priest to grant the Apostolic Pardon, and with no chance to say goodbye to loved ones. Are you prepared? None of us knows when we will leave this world, and we should always live with a view to eternity. Pray for all who have opened themselves up to the guidance and control of evil. Pray for those whose lives ended in that tragedy yesterday (yes, even the murderer). Pray for those who survived. Pray for the families of all involved. And, most of all, pray that God will use this event to guide more people to Him, and to help all of us be more faithful in our lives.
