I have met a few people who recovered from being brainwashed. I am not referring to any formal and professional kind of brainwashing, like something our civil government might do. Rather I am referring to the average brainwashing that occurs when the devil wants to lead someone away from Christ. It is often very subtle and imperceptible to the person experiencing it. Yet, when a person sees the brainwashing for what it is, I have to say that it is such a joyful experience that I get choked up thinking about it. One woman who came to me for counsel said that she was merely confused. After we spoke for a while, she finally realized she had been misled for years, and broke down in tears. They were tears of joy and I must admit that I joined her for a few minutes. Sadly, some people do not realize they have been misled until it is too late. Then, because they refuse to get the help that God offers, they end up in despair, and often decide that there is no hope. This is the very opposite of that joy that I described above. Apparently, the shooter a couple weeks ago who attacked the parish in Minneapolis during the school Mass saw that he was brainwashed, and regretted it; sadly it was too late. He wrote, not long before his attack on the Church and his accompanying suicide, I am tired of being trans, I wish I never brain-washed myself. He admitted that if he changed back to normal, it would be [an] embarrassing defeat, and it might be a concerning change of character that could get me reported. What can I say? WOW -- boom! That is a bomb on the whole lie that helping people to mutilate themselves and let them imagine that they are something other than what God created them to be, is a good thing. Nope. At the time of me writing this, the one who murdered Charlie Kirk has not been caught. If when he is caught it is found that he also is brainwashed into thinking he can be a trans, it will be quite revealing; brainwashing never leaves a person mentally stable. This lie of gender transition is of the devil, and we must be working (and praying) to help people see that this is a horrid mistake and help them to admit their error. Only in Christ can people find the fulness of forgiveness that we all seek. And, only we can show them how to find that.
