Beware Yon Dragons

breaking news

Oct. 2, 2025, midnight

The Catholic Church has officially declared that every single word that comes out of the Pope's mouth is automatically dogma. This statement was issued so that all Catholic publishing companies and internet outlets can prepare to change everything that they publish on an hourly basis to reflect the new teachings of the Pope. Not true. Yet, how many people (especially those in news media organizations) think like that? If I had anything to say about it, I would add a section into Canon Law to make an absolute prohibition on the Holy Father speaking to anyone related to news media source; ever; until the Second Coming. This is not because the Pope cannot control what he says (though there was once a Pope who seemed to have that problem), but because the media (largely secular) has no idea how to interpret what the Holy Father says and almost always portray his words contrary to reality. Although my wishes in this regard will likely not ever be implemented, I encourage you (about as strongly as is possible) to do everything in your power not to live like the above breaking news was true. Do not imagine that ANY press source that says that Pope Leo said something that they have more than about a 50% chance of getting it right. If it was not officially published by the Vatican itself, then it is questionable as to whether it was really said. Sadly, we do not live in a day and age where we can trust people to represent the Catholic Church correctly. As someone once said, In God we trust; all others pay cash.
